Greater Grassmarket

Edinburgh's Greater Grassmarket is the perfect place to spend a day browsing independent shops selling everything from designer and vintage fashion - sometimes made on the premises - to artisan foods. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to grab the perfect espresso and a slice of cake, stop for a spot of lunch or enjoy a delicious three-course dinner. Add to that cobbled, winding streets, a colourful past and historical heritage as well as views of Edinburgh Castle and it's easy to see why you could spend a whole weekend here.
