Commemoration Ceremony for Greyfriars Bobby (14th Jan)

The capital's favourite canine has been commemorated for 141 years and the celebrations continue on thursday 14th January as people prepare to gather for Greyfriars Bobby Day. To commemorate the Skye Terrier’s life, a service will be held at Greyfriars Kirkyard at 12.50pm with refreshments afterwards at the Grassmarket Community Project Café. ceremony. Read more

Star Wars Actor Once Owned Pizzeria in The Grassmarket!

To mark the anniversary of the new Star Wars film, Angus MacInnes who starred in the blockbuster as "Gold Leader" visited Mamma's Pizzeria
(which he orignally founded in 1985) in The Grassmarket last week to launch some Star Wars themed offerings as well as talking to sci-fi fans about his time acting in the movie. Read more
